He gets four games without losing a year of eligibility, and given that he missed almost all of fall camp and has no experience, you would think the plan for now would be during the second half of the season see if he is good enough to get those four games of experience.

He got a couple weeks of camp and will have practice for four weeks by the time URI rolls around.

He would have to be a clear starter to blow a year of eligibility to get him in for the difference between 8 games over 4, or the difference between getting to .500 or not.
