Corson Green seemed to come out of Left field. Don't remember hearing any commitment news about him?

Previously, Green was committed to New Hampshire.

Surprising the staff did not bring in another defenseman.

UConn is bringing in a really solid group of forwards. The most talented incoming class of forwards in program history.

He’s a few towns over from me in Westchester...if he doesn’t work out with Ben Prentiss in Darien I wouldn’t be surprised if he works out at my gym. Gonna have to keep an eye out for UConn Ice Hockey team workout wear now

Here's stats of the incoming freshmen. Really impressive group, especially with four drafted players coming in.

Amongst the forwards, who do you think will finish the season as top-six players? I can see Iskhavkov, Turnbull, Howarth, Kondelik and Evans fighting for top-six spots along with Payusov, Freeman and Kalter. Bottom line, it'll be a talented group next year!

Junior Forwards
Carter Turnbull: 36 goals, 39 assists in 67 BCHL games
Kale Howarth: 29 goals, 48 assists in 60 BCHL games.
Jachym Kondelik: 17 goals, 20 assists in 47 USHL games.
Jonny Evans: 20 goals, 31 assists in 49 BCHL games.
John Wojciechowski: 14 goals, 19 assists in 57 BCHL games.
Jordan Timmons: 24 goals, 14 assists in 50 USHL games.

Europe Forwards:
Ruslan Iskhakov: 6 goals, 24 assists in 33 MHL games, plus 3 goals in 5 WJC-U18 games.

Junior Defensemen:
Carson Green: 2 goals, 7 assists, 87 PIM in 49 USHL games.
Roman Kinal: 1 goal, 7 assists, 49 PIM in 51 USHL games.
Ryan Wheeler: 4 goals, 29 assists, 49 PIM in 63 NAHL games.

High School forwards:
Marc Gatcomb: 14 goals, 13 assists in 31 games for Gunnery.

Jáchym Kondelík from České Budějovice, hometown of the authentic Budweiser: Budvar. I'll drink to the latter, to the incoming UConn recruits' success, and to Jáchym's good fortunes with the Huskies.

If you have The Athletic, Corey Pronman did a write-up of the Four Nations tournament where Jachym Kondelik played on the Czech Republic team. Since it's a paywall site, I'll paraphrase his report in the first-person narrative so it reads like him writing it:

"I've watched Kondelik a lot last season and I wasn't very impressed with him, but at this tournament he showed up and impressed. Things I liked: his vision, ability to make some high-skill plays, strength down low and in front of the net, an ability to use his body to box out and get second chance shots on rebounds, some touch on his shot, and even played well on the PK. Areas of improvement: skating and hands."

Pronman: Best prospects at the 4 Nations U20 Tournament
