2017 Spring Roster's up

I know we need more solid OL but looking down the roster we may not be as thin as feared over the next few years if we pick up a Transfer/JC and a couple of young guys pan out. There are a couple of guys who I have doubts about but overall I think we have some potential for the staff to work with.

The thinness of the roster doesn't show this year -- it shows next year. We could line up on opening day with as many as 10 senior starters (and I would guess 8 is a minimum).

Just noticed that there's no David Williams on the roster. Does he get added with the incoming freshman class?

BL has it right above - He (Williams) won't graduate from South Carolina until May.

70+ takles on a defense for a 3-9 team, whose offense gave about 1:45 between opposing drives is quite a bit better than "pretty bad."

Unless you are denying that football is a team game and putting the blame for the defense's performance squarely on the back of Matt Walsh.

Well, I have no ax to grind so I must be clueless. Why Lovenberry wasn't in there more was beyond me. Frankly, I think our play at LB was subpar.

So are you saying Walsh was "pretty bad"? Because that was what I was responding too.

Any other description is fine, as long as bad is not included, unless it's "he wasn't that bad", etc. (grin)

By the way. To answer your question about why Levenberry wasn't in there more probably was because Walsh was better.

In a defensive scheme where making a nice hit 10 yards down field after the opposing team picks up the first down a bunch of times, can't blame him for that...

Isn't it kind of the job of the MLB to fill gaps to prevent 10 yard gains? Also drop in coverage... on the contrary, I thought junior Joseph was quite good.
