Nah, all good - "pissed" is way too strong word on either account. I just chose not to post the unresolved off the field issue (maybe that is the dad in me typing). I get the incident/charge is a potential red flag and I would imagine that UConn is aware of it based on timing. We've had other kids across football/basketball who have had brushes w/ LE before they came to UConn and turned out ok.

They could be looking @ him for defense w/ that size/speed.

Zach ran for 541 yards and 10 TDs tonight against Jonathan Law. Both are state records.

D - sorry I meant to get back to this and blew by it. Haven't heard/seen much about recruiting but the kid's breaking all sorts of records. He's moved into good company.

Haven't been to any Southington games this season. Just read today's Hartford Courant. The Blue Knights RB, LB Vance Upham was a 1 man wrecking crew against archrival New Britain last evening. He had over 200 yards rushing (to put him over 1000 yards for the season after 7 games) & was credited with numerous tackles from his linebacker position. Just curious as to how highly rated a prospect he is (FBS, FCS, Div. 2, Div.3). Would appreciate some knowledge from those who closely follow recruiting.

I'm by no means an expert but I watch a lot of HS football. I don't think he's an FBS level player. He could probably play at CCSU or another low level FCS team

according to huskymedic's list neither Tunstall or Pierre have an offer from us. Are we offering them an offer under the table if higher ranked prospects(that we may not know about that the coaching staff offered) don't commit?

They are whacking the tall weeds looking for OL. Both are 6-5. Pierre has no offers that I can see and Turnstall has Toledo/BGSU.
 
@huskymedic The article about the Fairfield County coaches that you posted in this forum yesterday mentions that Brian Keating is coming in as a preferred walk-on. You should probably change the list to reflect that.

He had over 500 yards last thanksgiving against LH. Judging by the way his Coach lets him keep running...he could make a run up the list.
 
Yes. He can put up 600 vs. lyman Hall.
The Ansonia kids went deep into the playoffs. Arkeel played 15 games his senior year. Davis 10. Davis is so much faster.
 
Anybody know anything on Davis's recruitment? Gotta imagine he could do a postgrad year somewhere if he doesn't have the offers he wants.

Played WR most of his junior year, so wasnt bring recruited this past summer. Won states in indoor track. A year at Cheshire Academy would thrust him into high D1 offers. Also would give him another year in weight room.

We should just offer now if we haven't already. It's not like we don't have the scholarships.
 
No disrespect to this kid whatsoever but we need to bring in some impact kids..... NOW.... we have enough redshirt types... ones that need probably 2 to 3 years to develop. Time to start swaying 4 or 5 star types or JUCO All American type transfers, get a 4 or 5 star QB transfer from a top notch program that have a depth chart of 4 & 5 star QBs. Not at all saying fill the roster wuth them, but it's time to infuse more talent, no? We need the help.

What the program needs and what it will get/accept are vastly different. Expect more RKGs that select UConn after narrowing their choices to us, Stony Brook and New Hampshire.

What 4/5 star QB would we recruit or would come here now that HCBD has professed his undying love for DW? Ain't gonna happen.

JUCOs? Seriously. This is UConn - when's the last time the administration accepted a JUCO?
