Without playing a snap Jasen Rose is my favorite player. Could have went to West Virginia or Wisconsin, etc. but chose to stay home. He's going to be a great player and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make an immediate impact this season (especially now that Billy Williams isn't joining the team).

I watched Rose vs Glastonbury. The combination of size and agility is a sight to be seen.

HCBD said his future is uncertain at this time, as far as we know he is still with the team but who knows in what capacity.

There is a copy of the Diaco interview where he talks about Williams "life change" in this thread. That's all that's been out there besides speculation.
 
Yea that was me drawing my own conclusions but it doesn't sound like he's coming here but I was looking forward to having him on the roster. At least Rose is poised to have a similar role so now he'll take on that potentially vacated PT.

16-20 depending on how many 4th year juniors leave and others leaving the program after the season. I know that HCBD wants five offensive lineman in this class to fill in for only getting two in this class.
 
Jeffrey Hubbard committed to Colorado State on the 18th.

CJ Lewis commits to Tennessee.

From one of the unlinkable sites:

>>The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback impressed offensive coordinator Mike DeBord enough for him to be atop the quarterback board exiting the Vols' Arsenal Camp in early June. But, the Vols were still working through several more camps meaning other quarterback prospects would have their chance to shine in front of the Tennessee coaches.

Apparently none impressed the Vols' staff more than Lewis did back in the first of June, so on Thursday night, following Tennessee’s final camp, Butch Jones made the call to offer Lewis a scholarship and he followed up with a commitment over the weekend.

“Earlier in the month coach DeBord told me I was number one on their list and that they think highly of me and coach Jones told me that on July 21 he would give me an answer,” Lewis explained. “I’ve just been holding out and going to other schools and visiting other schools. Then, July 21 came and coach Jones offered me that night and he told me they want me to be the quarterback at the University of Tennessee.<<

I would love for us to tap the CA pipeline eventually. But a lot of their kids have no other ties to Connecticut. I'll be doing cartwheels when we somehow figure out how to keep some of those New Canaan, Greenwich kids to stay "home".

I understand your point (and agree) but just a point of clarification -- Holmes, Lewis and Black are all from Hamden. Sebastian - West Haven.
