non Uconn recruiting. Curious to see if Houston continues to bring in the incredibly high rated players like they were able to last year. Memphis UCF and Temple also brought in a couple of highly sought after, talented players. If I had to guess at the recruiting rankings come signing day I'd say UH would probably be at the top again.

I expect bigger things from SMU this cycle too. Morris seems to really know what he's doing and has great relationships with Texas HS coaches

1. Houston
2. SMU
3. ECU

UCF at 4 seems to be high. Scott Frost with some early momentum on the trail

It is also tough to judge some of the teams in the conference recruiting wise because they recruit to more of a run option system (Tulane/Navy) or a spread system with certain necessary characteristics (Tulsa/SMU)

Gotta admit I don't understand this one on Tulane's end. Why not camp with LSU?

I hope this is the year some of these under the radar players UConn keeps recruiting start to show something. The Huskies are always ranked on the bottom half of the league recruiting wise and wouldn't it be great to see some of these guys prove the pundits wrong for a change. It sure would be nice to see Newsome and Johnson combine for some league leading numbers.

UCF picked up a kid yesterday with about 15 P-5 offers. Local kid staying home.

Update on AAC Recruiting standings:

http://247sports.com/Season/2017-Football/CompositeTeamRankings?Conference=AAC

1. Houston (20)
2. Memphis (21)
3. UCF (20)
4. USF (17)
5. Temple (20)
6. SMU (16)
7. Navy (36)
8. ECU (19)
9. Cincinnati (12)
10. Tulsa (15)
11. Tulane (20)
12. UConn (7)

Observations/Notes:

Curious to see how many recruits stick with UH after the Herman departure. They've started a twitter hashtag #Ban17ofbrothers but I wonder how many ultimately stick.
Only 2 composite 4* players in the AAC and neither belongs to UH (one to USF one to Memphis)
UConn is the only program with single digit commits.

UConn Ranked 120, Harvard has a better recruiting class. All of you concerned about UConn dropping down to FCS, need to understand that the program is already there.

They've lost two since Herman left... latest was a 4*CB flip to Missouri and the other a 3*CB.

This thread makes me jealous of the other AAC schools. Total waste to watch everybody else get recruits we hope to get.
