What is Indiana now? Some feel that they no longer ever warrant blue blood status. Same goes for UCLA. Any school can stumble. Notice all of the coaches tripping over each other to apply for the Georgetown job? (I'm being sarcastic for those who are a bit slow). Any school can fall, including Alabama Football, which of course did after the Bear left. Few really see the decline early on, but it becomes crystal clear in hindsight. The biggest factor is that anything that happened more than 5-6 years ago is ancient history to the high school kids you need to recruit. Thus, to them, Wichita St. is a powerhouse, while Georgetown is some scrub program that was good when their dad was young. [/QUOTE]
