If UConn makes it to Indy this year, the semifinal game would be my best chance to see them live since I live in northern WI.

For those of you that have been to these events in the past, what are my chances of getting a decent seat if I wait until we know that uconn has advanced to the final four?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I imagine you can get most things if you're willing to pay enough.

As Meyers wisely states, you can always get tix if you are willing to pay enough. I went to the Nashville FF and opened my wallet big time a week before to get ridiculously good seats, but I can tell you that there were a ton of ticket sellers the entire FF weekend and I saw many, many folks get tickets for as little as $50 each. In particular, there are often a ton of fans of the losing semi-final teams dumping tickets as the exit the arena after the semi game.

UC10NN, I will be coming up your way for my 6th consecutive Birkie xc ski race next month in Hayward/Cable area-what a beautiful area-especially when deep in snow:)

Well we certainly have the snow right now, to go with the -13 degree weather. I am in the Wausua area, so smack in the middle of the state.

I know if $$ is no issue I can get tickets. I guess my real question was will I be able to get tix for comparable prices to now if I wait. Sadly I know the women's tix are not as "in demand" as the men's. I don't think I can attend the finals, just the uconn semifinal game if we are fortunate enough to have one.

The ncaa has a promo this year where they will have some tix set aide to go on sale 4/3/16. I am hoping those seats are better than the nose bleeds they are pushing as best available currently.

I have bought on the street before games for 9 final fours and always get great seats for never more than $100. I plan to do that this April and next year in Dallas. BN

you should be able to get tickets...before the game you can check as well at the teams hotels and typically there will be some people who will be selling tickets there or next to the arena

Welcome to America!

When you say 'team hotels' do you mean that there are particular hotels where fans of certain teams tend to congregate? if this is the case, how might one know ahead of time whether they're staying in a 'friendly' hotel or an 'enemy' hotel?

My experience has been that ticket prices go up as the Final Four gets closer. But a lot depends on which teams make it and how close the school is to the FF site. In Nashville I got excellent tickets in eBay from a LV fan when they got eliminated pre FF.

Yes, each team typically has a hotel where rooms are set aside. But which hotels they are won't be revealed till the teams in the FF are known.

I think you will get much better tickets by waiting to get the tickets the day of the game. I have bought FF tix directly from the NCAA a couple times and have ended up selling them each time as they are almost always nosebleeds.

Will actually be doing a ski marathon in Wausau 1/30 in the Badger State Games. You probably don't want to hear this, but I'm hoping you guys get more snow in the next couple weeks as I'm told the trails are pretty thin right now:)

I divide time between living in CT and my hometown of New Orleans. Since the latter so frequently plays host to these events, I am blessed with a lot of experience in obtaining good tix at reasonable prices. I agree with those who advocate traveling to the FF destination without tickets in hand and buying them on the street or at team hotels. Remember that the final is always a much easier ticket than the semi. Stand outside the arena as it empties out from the semi....lots of disappointed folks happy to unload.

Welcome aboard. Suggested edit: "When UCONN makes it to Indy this year".....

I have heard that if you go to Knoxville, take a math class and successfully prove that 8 > 10, you get your FF tickets at cost price then and there.
