Sources: Brohm has spoken with Baylor, been offered the Purdue job

>>Sources told WBKO on Sunday that Western Kentucky coach Jeff Brohm has spoken with Baylor about that program’s head coaching vacancy. The third-year WKU coach has also been offered by Purdue to become that school's next coach and could be offered to take the head coaching position at Cincinnati later Sunday.<<

Am told the final decision from Jeff Brohm came after Purdue "really went in" financially. Interviewed w/Baylor and Cincinnati had talked $$

Expect #WKU Co-OC & special teams coordinator Tony Levine to get strong consideration as the replacement for Jeff Brohm as Western's HC.

Interesting times - when a coach from WKU can command presumably big $....much more than what Cincy (and needless to say UConn) could offer.

Anyways I said Les Miles wouldn't end up at Purdue (I know - so didn't everyone else).

Hell - LSU is paying their DC more than most head coaches in the AAC.

TV contracts matter. It's about to get really cold outside the P5.

Big names still sitting out there: Fleck, Kiffin ?
Schools that could still make changes ?

Honestly would not shock me to see Fleck return to WMU, Kiffin remain a coordinator, and/or Miles sit out a year and wait for a better slate of positions to open up next year. Oregon is the only P5 job worth anything (that isn't toxic) and I wonder if those three think they could do better than UH or UC. Seems at this point only a move from ND would open up any other P5 jobs.

Holy crap! Rhule to Baylor?
Wow, more culture shock for Baylor or Rhule? Dollars should make Rhule comfortable in wacky Waco, but zero experience in the Lone Star State, regional recruiting contacts, minimal uber Bible Belt background, etc. Guess some assistants help alleviate that, yet quite a change for Baylor itself. Clearly, they need more than a lot of change!

Can't wait to see who we're considering for OC....... Our coaching searches never seem to make the radar until wayyy after the fact.... IMO, that's a bad thing... Shows how unprepared we are for P5 football...
