When you look at that list from HuskyMedic, and by the way, this kind of posting by HuskyMedic? outstanding. But I look at that, and I see that Bob Diaco's recruiting program at the top end, is going head to head with the likes Franklin at Penn State, Addazio at Boston College, Cutcliffe at Duke, and the occasional Kelly Notre Dame and other big10 program at the top end, and Diaco and his recruiting program are going head to head from the bottom end with the likes of Ambrose at Towson, Moorhead at Fordham, and the Ivy's. Syracuse and whoever is coaching them and recruiting them is up there too.

I don't see a lot of ACC recruiting hitting these profiles of players listed here, other than a few outliers infrequently. Randy Edsall, while very successful at identifying talented players and building a winning team, was not very engaged in high frequency in competitively recruiting this profile of player in competition with these types of programs.

There is a lot of positive that Diaco is doing with this program through 1 year of his tenure, and if we are able to put together recruiting classes with players of the caliber that the coaching staffs and institutions that we are clearly going against from the top and bottom, we should be in great position to compete and win in the future in the AAC conference, and into the post season.

it's got to translate to game day preparation and execution though, on both sides of the ball and kicking. That's the only worry I have about Diaco, because we've gone through a full season already, and the results to date, are not good in that respect.

If we are to believe the Rivals site, it looks like Miller and Stocker are extremely unlikely to choose UConn (they've narrowed down their searches). However, Hudanick is the one that intrigues me (since I love stacking up the OLine fellas). He had a visit date in December at UConn, and I'm thinking we are in good shape for him so long as State U doesn't offer him:

He finished the game with two sacks and, with the help of Team Highlight defensive linemen, consistently collapsed the pocket. The most impressive play of the night for Wilkins came when he blocked an extra point, scooped the ball and then returned it the other way for a two-point conversion. Wilkins hasn't gotten as much hype as some other defensive tackles in the class, but it's clear his name needs to be mentioned when talking about the elite tackles in the country."

I know its a little late now and I also know that it doesn't necessarily mean he would of chose us ( UConn), but if I was UConn I would have been to all his high school games, called, text, emailed, and tweeted him in a daily basis. This kid is a monster DT and he plays in UConn's backyard, he would of been a game changer for us.

I'm sure they tried, but this is true national recruit. Bet there isn't a staff in the country who hasn't heard of this kid. I'm thinking Ohio STATE.
