So now we are down to 2. 3, if Diaco wants to take advantage of Davis' spring admission.



I'd love to get Hudanick and a QB if we take 2. Or Hudanick, Sheppard, and a QB if we take 3.

If you remember last year ... Diaco took a few NJ prep school kids. (Or NE)

Davis may not be the only one capable of a January enrollment - we have capacity in last years allotment.

The staff didn't really try to land any RBs. They only offered two of them.
 
why would we recruit a TB? We have 3 freshmen RB. We have more pressing needs at the moment.

Not smart, imo. Should try and get at least 1 rb in each class. Injuries and attrition happen.

So darn, no Hudanick just yet. I think he's the best of this bunch, but that said, this is exciting weekend and very glad to have Parker and the others.

Hopefuls in blue italics. 23 total, 22 count towards the 25 cap. I still think Diaco signs up 5 more, with the usual grayshirt surprises making this all work.

QB: Davis / Stanley or JUCO/transfer
RB: TBD <--I don't think its wise to skip a year at any position. Attrition can happen fast.
WR: Beals/Mayala/Battle/McLean
OL: Peart/Cespedes/Ulizo / Hudanick
TE: Campbell/Lee

DT: Murphy/Blackwell/Livingstone
DE: Okounam/Freeborn/Parker<--probably going to try to make him an OLB, but I sure like him better in a 4-3 at end. I don't like the idea of making a 6'5'' guy get put in coverage situations in space.
LB: Richardson/N. Williams/ Middle Linebacker <---could use someone with the classic run stuffer profile
CB: Pettit-Dixon/TBD
S: Garland, Robinson, Terry

Looking at Livingstone's highlights, in the clip called the Kirkster, he is shown playing OT too. Maybe he gets a look at G or T too. He does play a little tall though.

Sheppard is a touchdown machine at TE. Not sure where he is more valuable, at TE or using that 240lb to plug up the middle at LB. Yes he played mostly DE at high school on the defensive side of the ball, but I would want to see if that frame could be used to stuff the run and blitz from the MLB position. Interesting, lots of talent.

Can envision Sheppard and W. Richardson manning the ILB spots in the 3-4 or both manning one side of a 3-4, Richardson inside and Sheppard outside... just like that film of both these kids...

Interesting in the fact that he had an UConn offer in 2014, committed to and signed NLI with Georgia Southern and wasn't on 2014 GSU roster (there was chatter about "gray-shirting"). Who knows...

Lost it for a sec.. I see where you're going with this now bro... He'd be a mature pick up if we were to get him... Hope this happens... would fill the Hartwick void...
 
New QB Carter Stanley article on rivals... he's drawing Penn State interest along with us, FIU, & Bowling Green.. Colgate interest at the FCS level as well....Vincent Brown went down to see and speak to him... trying to get him up for a visit late January.... If he doesn't commit I can see him up there Jan 23rd with the majority of commits that will take their official visit.. makes too much sense on that date...

All in all, I think this kid, if we get him, will be a RS developmental type kid.. Only started in his SR year, this past year, but tore it up with the 40 TDs to only 7 INTs... Interesting to see what transpires here over the next 5-6 weeks...
