According to Scout, Najee Clayton seems to have a top group that he will visit after the season. UConn isn't in that group.
 
Saleem Brightwell has a top 4 of Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, and Pitt.

This is the first I Have seen of the new staff stretching into Texas. Any others that you have seen in TX?
 
Decent amount of offers in TX thus far but going after a dual threat QB is very interesting (to me)

Really? I thought it was pretty obvious the staff wants dual-threat QBs. Tyler Davis is a dual threat, Shirreffs is a dual threat and the QBs that the staff has offered before are dual threats (Will Harris, Billy Bahl, Alex Hornibrook). Of course, it has been a while since a QB has actually gotten an offer...

Agreed. I too thought another Qb should be included in this class. Just didn't expect the offer to go to a Texan. Just ask others on here about the direction of the QB position at Uconn. They will disagree. I am a fan of Tyraiq Beals' QB. Could be due to his success. But has measurables and slings it around pretty well I think.

I agree. Devante Williams looks good. I haven't seen his tape but his stats suggest that he isn't a scrambler(only 4 rushing attempts this year). Of course it could because of the team's offense/personnel that discourages him from running.

His team's overall record isn't stellar. Here are his midseason highlights that he posted on twitter via HUdl. I have ben tweeting with him and Beals. No word if staff is interested. But Williams is athletic, tall at 6'4" and throws a great ball IMO. Worth a look for sure. Can scramble keep plays alive and make things happen. And there it is - another QB seems to definetly be on the radar for this staff - whether its Ryan or not looks like 2 in this class.

I don't need to remind you that we lost a QB unexpectedly in the early season, so this just puts us back on even keel ... assuming Ryan accepts our offer. Which coach has recruiting responsibility for Texas?
 
unfortunately we are (and will remain) far from even. We have 2 coming back next year and 1 signee, thus far. Even if 2 come in, we have 4 tops. Most programs have 5, minimum. We'd get back to even if we could stop the frigging mass exodus we have seen every year for the past several.

You're not reminding me of anything I didn't already know bro... It's just good to hear the news that we've offered another QB... And even if this kid decides to go elsewhere I fully expect us to bring in one more QB anyways...Because Casey Cochran had to retire from the game...

Just wanted to pass this along, pretty much confirmed today that yes Zordan Holman does have an offer.. It will be interesting to see if it’s as a TE or a DE…
