Solid week for recruiting. The former regime seemed intent on finding kids with measurables but, as I learned late, not developing them. This staff seems intent on finding kids who can contribute down the road with the proper conditioning.

Minor point: There is no such place as Manwah, NJ. Both syllables end in an"h," as in Mahwah.

I only recognize the name because my sister got married in that town.

Size, size, size. Look at the frames of all 3 verbals so far.

Murphy - 6'2"
Davis - 6'5"
Hartwick - 6'6"

Give Balis 1-2 years with these guys and we are looking at a bigger, stronger roster. Great start to the 2015 class! I guess "#RiseUp" is meant very literally with the height of his first recruiting class!

Don't forget the last couple bodies from last years class. The other kid from Canada, 6' RB from FL, 6'4" LB from OH, 6'3" Dan Oak, 6'5 Ryan Crozier. Big boys coming and a top notch nutrient and weight program to turn them into Physically imposing men. Lets go!!

Diaco finally starting to get it. At a certain point you just need warm bodies so recruiting against Monmouth and Bucknell is a great strategy

So the old staff recruited bad classes, but this class that diaco is putting together, which is equally as bad so far (NOT 1 P5 OFFER AMONG ALL 4 COMMITS) is all of a sudden great and shows potential because theyre allegedly going to develop them in the weight room ?

If there is even a scant amount of development in any area whatsoever, it will be far more than had gone on during the past 1095 days.

Who said the old staff could not recruit. The problems were (a) they recruited some kids who were academic question marks and then lost them in their post-HS year (b) did not develop them on campus and (c) clearly did not connect with them on the field. Ignoring a, the overall feeling is that new staff will succeed at b and c.

It's not about stars and P5 offers - it's about being able to get the best out of them - what's your issue Mrs Pasqualoni? Take a look at RE recruiting - 2 stars and no P5 offers and a bunch of NFL'ers - it's about development and your husband didn't know how to do that - he was here for the paycheck and not the work it took to be successful. Just like his Syracuse days. Go away - you aren't committed to UConn FB.
Thanks for your non-interested 'RICHARD'.

Nice to see you are using your 1st four posts to rip Diaco's recruiting. If you knew anything about UConn's football recruiting, you would know that this is the same recruiting tactics that Edsall used. They were successful enough to win 2 BE titles in our 1st 10 years of D-1 football existence. 5 bowl games with 3 wins. 1 BCS appearance.
Until UConn gets into a p-5 conference, this is what we need to do. Take the non prima-donna recruit who was overlooked by the biggies. Hopefully, these kids have an attitude and do what the staff asks of them. If they do, UConn will do just fine.

Munster...here is how GREAT your buddy and his boys are at even evaluating recruits:
Jamie Gordinier Red Bank Catholic HS Red Bank NJ
http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Jamie-Gordinier-147381?colleges=show
Home of former UCONN Football Co-Captains Donald Brown, Paul Zenkert, Matt DeGennaro among others...and producer of MANY more UCONN football players..a "pipeline school" so to speak. It wasn't until Diaco came to UCONN that UCONN was even involved with this kid.
Let's go one further:
Quenton Nelson Red Bank Catholic HS Red Bank NJ
https://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Quenton-Nelson-135224
Recruited and signed by one Bob Diaco then DC at Notre Dame...UCONN who at the time was DESPERATE for Offensive Lineman...NEVER offered until WAY late in the game. When a former player called then recruiting coordinator Rob Cersosimo he was told..thanks for the heads up..we will have to evaluate him to see if he can play in our program..this was after he had held offers from BC, PSU, Alabama, Southern Cal, Oregon, Michigan, Wisconsin...that group of Pasqualoni and company flat out blew this program to pieces!!! But then again he was ok in Lou Marinelli's book...he can rot with the rest of them!!
