As of right now, the Huskies out of conference schedule seems a bit weak for next year, since the series between Tennessee has been suspended. The trip to BYU will be a quality game, but the Huskies should try to schedule a team from one of the Power 5 conferences or maybe one of the better Mountain West or C-USA schools.
After checking over other schools' schedules for next year, there aren't many options. Kentucky has openings on Sept. 19 and 26 which would work for us. San Diego State also has an opening on Sept. 19. I believe either of those schools would offer competitive games and are both nationally known (even though it's not in football).
Has anyone heard any rumors about teams for next year's schedule?

Really hope we get some high profile additions to that list, it's low on the excitement meter right now.

UCONN is going to have a very hard time selling tickets next season. Nova, Army and a conference schedule that doesn't include UCF or Cincinnati. Hope there is a FILLTHERENT promo for loyal season ticket holders!

I'm hoping for the proverbial October surprise, like a lower tier SEC team, etc.

I wish Warde Manuel could use his influence in Ann Arbor to schedule another home and home with Michigan.

I thought we were playing UMass at Foxboro next year?

Do not hold your breath.

They moved it so it could be the same time as a men's soccer game, men's bb game, women's field hockey game and women's hoop game. Just to see if Freescooter would spontaneously combust.

the coveted Monday morning 10am game on ESPN.

Looked at some sites briefly -
UConn Sept open dates next year are the 19th and 26th
Some teams that have those dates open and need a fourth OOC game:
Pitt 26th
Iowa St 26th
Wva 19th
Kentucky 19th and 26th

Arizona also has a couple slots open that would work on September 19th or 26th. We did just set up a series with them in basketball so maybe relations between the two athletic departments are good right now.

any of those would be a fun game.

I was hoping for a team we had a slim chance against...Rich Rod OWNS UConn.

My picks were incorrect!

You pretty much nailed it a week ago but replace October for September and lower tier for upper-middle tier.
