The huskies keep coming! 23 and counting!

Kirk Livingstone - 6-4 235 DE from Stranahan HS in Ft. Lauderdale. Other offers from Cincy, ECU, Indiana, Minnesota, Louisville, Ohio, USF, Cuse, Vandy, Utah, and WMU.

Originally a UAB commit:

Now I remember I saw this. Don't like to double post. But what the heck, this is great news that UCONN beat out so many other schools for Kirk!

DIaco certainly is putting together a class that is looking like it might be the tallest group of players ever. Tallest? Most tall? English critics fire away.

What remains to be seen, is if these guys have any speed. If these guys, at the size their coming in, have anywhere near the speed that Edsall routinely found over the best part of a decade, and that Pasqualoni found a handful of in 2 seasons, then we have very good outlook for the future.

If we are simply bringing in a very large, but slow class, we will be big and slow.

Being slow isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you have the lines to control the line of scrimmage. And that seems to be a big if for UConn lately.

coach diaco and staff are working hard and doing a good job. Definetly getting some tall players. Have total confidence in coach. Love his passion and is a hard worker.

Easy come - easy go. He was kind of a bonus since he was a UAB commit in the first place. Must have seen pictures of the snow piles. Maybe Rsylik ends on D-Line after all.

From 247 reports:
USF flips UConn commitment
According to a source USF has flipped UConn commitment Kirk Livingstone. The 6-foot4, 235-pound defensive end has been committed to UConn since December and is now expected to sign with the Bulls tomorrow.

I was pretty high on this young man. Too bad we couldn't keep him.

Yeah, let's celebrate losing our two consensus top commits in the final two weeks . . .

Not shocked on this one as UCONN was never his original choice as was UAB commit until they dropped football. Not the first time, USF has gone after our commits. Recruiting has changed in past coaches never recruited verbal commits from their conference as remembered just couple years ago was big deal with other Big ten coaches when Meyer did it when he landed at Ohio State. Guess like us, USF is scrambling to get a seat on the lifeboat out of the AAC into P5 conference so anything goes.
