Ok, I'm not savvy enough to fully understand whether or not HCBD is the right choice to lead the program forward or not but I do realize that he gets (at least) 2015 to show improvement.
So - conference alignment questions aside - assuming we are still in the AAC next season, I have some legitimate questions:
We were a very young team this season - (maybe by design with the "rotations" used) - Who do we have returning as Sophs / Juniors / Seniors next year?
Are we now more experienced on the two lines (OL and DL)?
Who did we red shirt this season? Is there any real talent to look forward to?
Any possible 2015 Frosh that might be ready to step in from Day one (or at least early into the season)?
With the questions at QB (a real clusterfark) - Does Boyle have anything that he can show us?

1) Get a real QB somehow, 2) stability on the OL, 3) find some edge pass rusher who can get sacks and/or contain dual threat QB's, 4) backfield health, and 5) a better PK production.

1. try to win games instead of using them as live (and paid admission) practices - we need to win at least 5 games in 2015 to bring Diaco back for 2016
2. FIND A QB - this has been on the offseason agenda since Orlovsky graduated
3. CB technique/development - B Jones injury really highlighted our weakness in pass coverage
4. OL continued improvement - finished the year better
5. finding a #2 WR behind Thomas
6. Kicking game - 2nd to last in the country on touchbacks is poor. We may have a true FR doing our kicking next season
7. Ron Johnson is our #1, Newsome is #2 (maybe a 3rd and long sub for screen threat)...keep these guys healthy and build up some bulk to break tackles

"it is time for the offensive coaches to show a little more imagination and aggressive mindset than they did this season. Diaco's substitution pattern is also beyond baffling especially at the offensive skill positions. Max DeLorenzo was under utilized during the middle of the season and trying to figure out how the young receivers and tight ends were worked into the passing game is enough to make your head spin."

Both Joe and Dez seemed to get were we fans were coming from. But, in BD'S defense his patterns, while stupid, can be explained that certain player groups worked on certain packages.

The QB switch at the 3rd series was clearly preplanned, but again, stupid.

If this is what BD had in mind once CC went down, he explained it poorly or deliberately didn't want to say directly.

That's all water under the bridge. The demand from the fanbase is to make something worthwile from this year's pain next season. That will be a bowl game and that will be to address what can't be fixed through more reps.
