I wanted to compare how this year's team compared stats wise to our last championship team. Overall very comparable!! Both teams excellent FT shooters, this years team is better defensively. Offensively very close with 2014 team a better 3 point shooting team.
Now can the 2016 team make the run the 2014 team made late in the season. Only time will tell!

2014 32-8, 15-3H, 7-4A, 10-1N
2016 20-8, 13-2, 6-3, 1-3 The big difference is Neutral court where this year's team still has the conf. Tour. and NCAA. The stats below will compare 2014 to 2016. 2014 shown first.
Overall ppg. 71.8 vs 73.4, opp. 63.2 vs 61.7, +8.6 vs +11.7
FG % 44.9 vs 46.3, 3pt, 38.7 vs 36.1, FT 77.7 vs 77.5
Opp FG 39.2 vs 37.4
Assist to TO totals +31 vs +76

Conference stats 12-6, 10-5
PPG 70.7 vs 67.8 FG % 42.8 vs 43.1 3PT. 34.7 vs 35.2, FT 77 vs 81.6 Assist +17 vs +30
Opp PPG 63.4 vs 59.7, FG% 40 vs 36.7.

Good stuff @mcs333. We caught matchups in our tourney down the stretch, but one of the big keys was daniels' step change in March.

I'd say if we can get a similar leap from Adams that might be enough to turn 2-5 point losses into wins.

The 2014 team got 36 points from their top 3 guards, Nappier, Boat and Kromah, the 2016 get 32 points Adams, Purvis and Gibbs. However the 2014 team starting front court produced 25.5 ppg vs 31 for the 2016 team. Also players 7-9 produced 8.5 ppg vs 10 ppg for the 2016 team.

Agree no Napier but the 2016 looks to be more balanced and maybe with Adams coming along we just might close the gap between the 2014 backcourt and the 2016 backcourt. While the 2016 front court looks to be better that the 2014 front court do to the maturity of AB.

More balanced? Maybe. But considering the offense we run, at the end of games we need a go to guy to get us a bucket. That's where a balanced attack is thrown out the window. Get Adams or Miller the ball down the stretch and we start winning our close games.

Is everyone forgetting the shot clock is shorter now, therefore we really should be scoring a lot more than 2014
