Thought I'd look at some TD vs. Int. for Uconn vs. opponents for a few years. Showing Uconn td's passing and interceptions and then opponents td's and intereceptions. Kind of gives an idea of where Uconn has been and also how opponents have done (kind of how does a BCS schedule of teams do)
2011 14-9; 22-18 So Uconn threw 14 td's and gave up 9 ints, while allowing 22 td's and getting 18 ints.
2010 10-9; 16-20
2009 16-13; 17-12
2008 5-17; 9-18 Tyler senior year and hurt some
2007 couldn't download info
2006 14-12; 14-12 Dones and DJ
2005 14-10; 10-14 Bones and DJ
2004 23-15; 14-10 Orl. year
2003 33-14; 17-9 Orl. junior
Uconn has pretty much had low double digit interceptions most years with 2008 having its own history. Note Orlovsky senior year had 15. So it seems that a mostly run 1st attack (post O) got about 12 interceptions a year with about 12 tds. O was about 2/1 his last two years.
Anyway, if DO is the guidepoint for good QB play and TD's/Int - Charles Whitmer doesn't need to be Luck or Griffin to be outstanding by Uconn history. Just throw twice as many td's as int. and you will have the best Uconn passing year since the big O (and better than his senior year). Having 14 to 15 int. for a future NFL QB seems about what Uconn's best has shown and fans were pretty pleased with him.
