"I wanted to let you know that I'm attending Dean Junior College this year," said Sylva, who is 6-foot-2 and 245-pounds. "I just found out that I wont' be eligible for UConn this year."

"They're sorry things worked out like this and they want me to stay committed," said Sylva. "They said that they're staying loyal to me."

His move to Dean will once again re-open his recruiting process. "I'm solid with UConn,"

kid is solid uconn. several yarders talk with him on the machine all the time. hes good ppl as they say...i'm hoping that i can follow his season at dean a bit and maybe talk with him at some point to get a good look at the guys goin up there this year.

Hopefully this season will provide some inspiration moving forward to 2013 and he'll be ready for a great year when he returns.
