While I congratulate all listed on their academic achievements, I find the list somewhat bizarre. There are some walk-ons who weren't listed on our roster at any point last year, and whose name we only learned when the spring roster was posted, and there are a number on the list who still, today, aren't listed on the UConn roster on the website.

I'm trying to imagine the conversation: "you're not good enough for us to list you to the public as a member of our team, but you don't mind if we use your grades to make us look good, do you?"

Curious what is Exploratory? I was assuming that is was similar to undecided until I saw someone with undecided.

Exploratory majors are taking basic classes in a field they plan on majoring in. It's just what it sounds like. They are "exploring" their major before they decide to declare and complete it.

i like how these kids are in real majors. i imagine if you look at Auburn's team you won't find any biology, pharmacy or economics majors

Not sure about other schools but the majority of scholarship players on UConn are exploratory, sociology and economics.

I selected 8 players at random from their roster and their majors were Liberal Arts or a form of Social Science then I did another one at random and was surprised that I saw a Finance major in there.
