Not sure what the critieria was when compiling that list, but hard to believe Len Bias would be omitted.

Although unfortunate and sad just the same, my guess is that unlike the others listed in the article, it might have something to do with his death being at least partially attributed to a drug overdose.

Pelle Lindbergh comes to mind too. Died from injuries sustained in a car accident in '85 - the year after winning the Vezina Trophy.
