Very good win for Tennessee, they played tough. and the refs really called some horrible nonsense against them. Anyone else notice that Boston looked gassed at many times throughout the game? Great player, but it almost appears that she is out of shape. Wonder what excuse Dawn is going to use for the loss.

What does Dawn's sweatshirt mean?

Gutsy comeback. SC looked completely out of sync on offense in the second half. Crazy.

SC’s last 3 games:
  • Lose to UConn
  • Grind out a win over average LSU team
  • Lose to TN
Bad time for the Gamecocks to be struggling, but this is the way it is in college basketball right now.
I will give Dawn credit to end this game nicely.

Got out-coached tonight....not so much that Tennessee out-coached USC, but that USC's poor coaching killed its chances. Cooke took WAAAY too many attempts for what she was actually making, and not enough attempts to keep pounding Boston and the paint inside. Getting tired of the poor fundamentals on making point-blank lay-ups and protecting the basketball. This team has been coached into a sweet-sixteen caliber program right now....

My general take on the Gamecocks is that if you can stop their transition game, they really struggle in the half court. In the last 3 games UConn, LSU & TN all forced SC to try to beat them in the half court. Last year, with Ty Harris, SC was great in the half court. Without Harris, they are not the same team.

I don't know if SC was tired but that wasn't great effort on their part, IMO. Tennessee really looked like they wanted it more, and that's a cliche I almost never buy into.

They heavily thrive in scoring in transition or getting the ball to Boston in the post. If you are taking away Boston. during half court, its a bit of a struggle for them to score. LSU actually hung around with SC the first game a lot more because of this before they ran away with it due to transition baskets late in the game. If you take away the transition game, SC is much different team offensively.

SC is still a great team but not the same without Harris and company as last season.
