Unless we get Liam. Then just need a big.In the past two years 3/8 of our rotation players come tourney time were transfers. So we should expect 2 more.
Big and a wing.
Someone who hasn't attended the same school for consecutive years going all the way back to high school and was rumored to want a million dollar NIL deal?Did I see that AJ Storr is in the portal again? I'd take him for sure.

Serious red flag7 schools in 7 years. He's a culture nightmare. Hard pass.
If the story is true that he wanted $1 million, I say "no way and no thanks". I am all about players getting paid but with him the juice ain't worth the squeeze.Did I see that AJ Storr is in the portal again? I'd take him for sure.
This is what I thought in 2014. Never happened, and to this day I question why. And I know the penalties, academic thing, negative press and all.Winning back to back championships should entice more 5 star interest and top portal players. UConn has shown these past two years that a mix of the two is a winning formula. Time will tell.
Ollie had a top 5 recruiting class right after the title. It was the Vance Jackson, Durham class. Just turned out he wasn’t a very good coach. This is what I thought in 2014. Never happened, and to this day I question why. And I know the penalties, academic thing, negative press and all.

Jalen, Enoch, Larrier, and transfer Shonn Miller? I don’t remember any of them reaching star level, Vance was 16-17 transferred, was ok, but in those guys you’re saying it’s all his fault? He brought the previous team to a title. Those class ratings are often wrong and that one was.Ollie had a top 5 recruiting class right after the title. It was the Vance Jackson, Durham class. Surprised you said wing, was thinking more of a 2 guard with just 3 guards on the roster next year?
2014 was viewed nationally as a bit of a fluke. 2023-2024 is viewed as a systematic destruction of college basketball led by the best coaching staff in the country. This is what I thought in 2014. I don’t think a lot of people here realize just how good Jaylin Stewart will be next year.

With full continuity of said coaching staff.2014 was viewed nationally as a bit of a fluke. 2023-2024 is viewed as a systematic destruction of college basketball led by the best coaching staff in the country.
Kinda figured. And still, again that did them no good. Admittedly, one of the biggest free agents they signed was Danny Tartabull who helped turn them around and get them headed in the right direction. A lot of the free agent moves of the 1980s were fools gold. The turnaround really happened when Steinbrenner got banished for the crap he pulled with Winfield.Good point- I was more thinking of the pre Joe Torre/Stick Michael era w/ Winfield, Whitson, Steve Kemp etc in early 80s before George took back seat
Enough with this BSBall has been playing like someone that has decided to move on. Not saying he is; that’s just the vibe he is showing. When he does get into the game, he is shooting the ball 90% of the time. It could be Hurley wanting him to gain some confidence and telling him to shoot. It could be another Scotty Haralson situation. Ball seems like a really good kid but I am sure he has some frustration going from a starter to only playing in non-meaningful situations.
I’m guessing Hurley will really need to sell him on staying, just like he did with Samson this year.
With all due respect I always have to laugh when someone references body language and what the players state of mind is by a few shots on camera. I saw Ball cheering for the team and excited to win a championship. if Solo thinks he could develop better somewhere else he’ll leave but I doubt he’d be pushed harder by another coach. His body language has been bad. Even when cutting the nets.
My wife has said the last month or so he just takes shots anytime he has the ball when in during garbage time.
I don’t think he is happy nor over riding the pine after starting but once Castle was back he was shelved.
I truly hope Dan retains him
Nothing says they can't start both. They often ran this year with three PGs on the floorI think Diarra definitely gets the nod early on
Depends on their development, but I think Diarra can be a star. He is a magician with the ballI love the improvement from Diarra as well as SJ. But they are both more impactful coming off the bench no doubt. Do not start them please!

He was an impact player this year while Castle was out. He had 13 pts in 29 minutes against UNC for crying out loud. With all due respect I always have to laugh when someone references body language and what the players state of mind is by a few shots on camera. Also I may not be the best judge but I think Ball is a still couple years away from being a real impact guy if he becomes one.
