That's really awesome. I'd love to be there for that.

There is currently a single ticket left for sale for that game on uconnhuskies.com. I'm tempted... A sellout against lonely SMU. Nelson must be rolling around in his grave ;).

I'll be there early for this. Extremely excited to see the team I followed so closely when I was 5 years old :)

That night is burned in my memory.
AZHuskie who had shared the 1990 heat-break with me was now married and I watched the game alone. My wife was only a casual fan.
That was in the days before Mobile phones ,I still had two distinct land lines ( a carry -over from when my kids were home.)
As the game was winding down I instructed her to call QVC who sold NC sweatshirts as soon as the game was over. I believe it's possibly the first souvenirs of that game purchased ,which I still have.
I called AZHuskie on the other line and when he picked up the phone I
Screamed a victory scream he understood my joy. I had been taking him to games since he was 7 or 8. I had been waiting for this day for over 30 years and the feeling was indescribably.

I was in Chicago at the time, and watched the game with a Duke fan. Good times.

One of my earliest UConn memories was watching the UNC game the year before and my mom consoling me after, telling me that everyone would be back the next year and they'd be even better. Had no idea that'd mean a 19-0 start, only 2 losses, Big East regular season and tournament championships, our first Final Four and an EPIC Monday night.

Got blown out by Cuse, lost to Miami on Senior Day. I was at both.
I think that was an old running joke on the Boneyard that was used to annoy either Cuse or Miami fans. I've heard it mentioned before, but don't know the context.

Got it. The Cuse loss was without Rip and Jake, so it shouldn't count anyway.

Only 100 or so for sale on StubHub. Should sell out in advance.

Purchased outside Tropicana Field immediately after 77-74, my 1999 National Championship shirt's since ventured over at least 4 continents and it's pretty much beat to he!l. However, it's stored as comfortably in a dresser as my cherished memories of the Huskies' triumph will forever be cherished.

That looks like the same shirt my wife bought on QVC.
Mine was bought about 5 seconds after the game ended.
I never wear UConn gear on game day anymore it's bad Mojo"
I was coming home from Ky wearing that shirt in 2000 . I actually watched the Tennesee game in Nashville Airport. That was the game KAM hurt his ankle. We ended up losing to a middling team.
You can scof all you want about my superstition but I went over to our golf course the day of the a Louisville game to hit a bucket.Rather than grab one of my wide brimmed hats I grabbed the 2011 NC baseball cap. That won't happen again.I take full responsibility for that loss.

@3uconn @husky99 @Zionn

Any other recruits going to be there on Sunday besides Govan? Seems like this might be a coordinated recruiting/honor "event" similar to the Michigan game in the Fall. It would make sense. Anybody else coming?
