1992 DREAM TEAM

I read a comment today about the 1992 U.S. Men's Olympic basketball team that won the gold medal in Barcelona. The men played 8 games. The average margin of victory was 44 points. Amazing feat. I bet no one thought it was bad for the game of basketball. Wish I was there.

They were terrific - team ball all the way and a joy to watch - just like our current UCONN team.

That team grew the game internationally. All the other countries and players felt honored to play against them. It is incredible how quickly the international teams closed the competitive gap with the US after that Olympics.
