I started to watch this last night. Wow, those two early fouls called on Bascom were ridiculously bad.

Thanks AS, Wendy Davis is from Reading area, and I have followed her career and the Huskies since 1989. Appreciate the blast from the past.

In honor of Geno's 1000th win coming up I decided to figure out how to upload videos on Youtube so I could put up my DVD copy of the super rare 1991 Final 4 game vs Virginia that most haven't seen. It's uploaded in 3 parts below.

Part 1

1991 NCAA Women's Final Four- UConn vs Virginia PART 2 Part 2

1991 NCAA Women's Final Four - UConn vs Virginia Part 3 Part 3

Thanks for posting this. I remember this game being on on Easter Sunday, that year. Who knew what was to come?

My goodness would you look at that young Ms Staley! Wasn't smiling then, either.

Wow! That was a fun watch. Almost as much to see the young Tonya Cardozo & Dawn Staley, as to see this ‘91 team which was a fun bunch. They actually played just like the later teams do. Play looked very similar to now, defense keeping them in it, good shooting (perhaps not so much in that game), just missing the overpowering althleticism of the current Huskies. Loved to see Debbie Baer, I feel like she and Wendy Davis could earn some time on the current team.
Meghan Pattyson has never given herself enough credit for being the player she was. She was a tough and energetic cookie.
