-> Seton Hall will have video streams for game 2 and game 3 on Saturday but due to a campus-wide power shutdown on Thursday, there will not be a stream. All three games will be on MIXLR.<-

Seton Hall Pirates (8-23, 2-1 BIG EAST) vs. No. 18 Connecticut Huskies (25-7, 3-0 BIG EAST)

Projected Starters:

Thursday vs. UConn, 11 AM: RHP #26 Hunter Waldis (Naples, Fla.) vs. #27 RHP Austin Peterson

Saturday (Dan Hurley) vs. UConn, 12 PM: RHP #39 Joe Cinnella (Mahwah, N.J.) vs. #42 RHP Pat Gallagher

Saturday (Dan Hurley) vs. UConn, TBA: RHP #8 Brennan O'Neill(Morristown, N.J.) vs. #46 RHP Enzo Stefanoni

That campus wide power shutdown is quite annoying.

Korey Morton out with a hamstring injury according to Chris Jones.

Top 1st, after a leadoff hit by pitch and a walk by Simmons and Padilla, a no out rbi single for Stock makes it 1-0 UConn. Another hit by pitch for Bushling loads the bases with 1 out. Huber gets a 1 out walk to make it 2-0 UConn.

One advantage of no power at the ballpark is that Chris Jones doesn't have to compete with nearby loudspeaker systems that have a tendency to make it hard to hear him at times during a broadcast.

Garbowski and Ferrer are also out for the weekend with injuries. Garbowski should also be back after the weekend, according to Chris Jones.

Bottom 1st, Peterson with a scoreless inning. 2-0 UConn.

Top 2nd, with 1 out, Simmons and Padilla both hit by pitches. Lots of free 90's for UConn hitters so far these first 2 innings. Pitching change for Seton Hall, so we're going to see a lot of bullpen today for the Pirates.

Stock with a 1 out single loads the bases for UConn. Casey Dana with a sac fly, 3-0 UConn. Bushling with a 2 out triple driving in 2 more runs, 5-0 UConn.

Seton Hall starter hit 4 UConn batters with a pitch this afternoon.

Their #1 starter hit 4 batters and walked 2 in an inning and a third. At home. This conference truly sucks in baseball.

Bottom 3rd, lots of traffic on the bases for Seton Hall this inning. A 2 out bases loaded walk (second walk of the inning for Peterson) brings in a run for the Pirates. 5-1 UConn going to the top of the 4th. Could have been a lot worse for Peterson and UConn.

Bottom 4th, Peterson with a 1-2-3 inning aided by good defense by David Smith. 57 pitches and 3 strikeouts for Peterson so far, 2 strikeouts that inning.

So far - another NBE nail biter :p

UConn has opened up the Big East schedule against the 2 worst Big East teams according to the RPI ratings. Seton Hall is more or less tied with Butler in that rating.

Not questioning the dimensions, but the way that field is laid out lf, off the line, is looking close to 435ft.

Chris Jones was thinking that left center was over 400 feet to the wall.

Bottom 6th, a no out triple drives in 2 runs for Seton Hall. 7-3. A no out double brings in another Seton Hall run, 7-4.

Afthim and O'Donnell warming up in the bullpen.

7-4 UConn going to the top of the 7th.
