21-20, end of 1Q. Elissa Cunane with 9 points for NC State. Kai Crutchfield has two THREEs.

NC A&T shooting very well. State can't pull away.

A+T does not look like a 16. Not just because they are playing well. Their players look good. That’s got to be a seeding mistake.

They have 4 transfers who play big minutes.... 2 from Seton Hall, 1 from Georgia Tech, and 1 from UNC. This isnt a regular HBCU squad.

Maybe but not usually in the womens game with a 1 versus 16. I say they should never have been a 16. their schedule was weak but won a lot of games by big margins.
 
10-2 run for NC State. Genesis Bryant just hit a THREE. She has missed the last 6 games due to an ankle injury

Yeah, ESPN runs everything into the ground. Kinda like they show a highlight clip from the previous season's Championship game about a billion times during the subsequent season.

Kayla Jones with a leg injury. Status doubtful going forward.

That is potentially a huge personnel loss for NC State if she can't go, or return to 100%. She's a huge cog in the NC State wheel.

Kayla Jones will have an MRI today to discover what is wrong with her leg. The good thing is, it does not appear to be a torn ACL.

The injury happened when she backed off the court after a defensive play and stumbled into a court attendant sitting beside the stanchion. She either ran into the person sitting there or into the folding chair the attendant was sitting in. She was able to walk back to the bench but never emerged from the locker room after halftime.
