-> Game Notes
  • With the 11-game win streak, the Huskies tie their longest win streak since rattling off 11 in a row in 2016.
  • The Huskies threw their first one-hitter since Anthony Marzi tossed a one-hitter against Cincinnati at Dodd Stadium on May 5, 2012.
  • UConn plated seven of their eight runs with two outs.
  • The Huskies 18 road wins are tied for the most in the country.<-

LOL… Cooke shook off Coach McDonald on a walk and heard about it.

Good stuff on Ian Cooke here, as you would expect. Also for the most part, the mention of the excellent defensive plays last night. Also like the mention of Christian Fedko taking a little hit and run swing when the defense shifted on him.

The pitching for a college team is pretty incredible. 5 high quality starters is pretty rare at this level. Imagine adding Reggie throwing 98 to that mix.
If things had broken out way, you could add Kellington and Mozzicato to the starter list. Huber has done a nice job filling in for Reggie, but we do miss his pop. If the above had happened, you are looking at a team that had enough starters to get to Omaha

I forgot about Mozzicato. That team and this year's schedule would have made for a stupid good record. Probably under 5 losses
