15 minutes of Clingan blocks

I giggled when Shannon got blocked, you would have thought he had learned at Illinois (at least I think that was Shannon).

Clingan does a pretty darn good job of keeping the blocked shots inbounds. I hope they can offload Ayton this summer.

Boy, Russell comparison is quite a compliment, and I'm thinking warranted. Clingan is still a kid. If he is able to stay healthy as he finishes "growing up", I think his athleticism will surprise even the most ardent Cling Kong fans. Actually, he becomes a total nightmare for the rest of the league. He kind of is already.

I watched a bit of the Blazers while I had free League Pass. I liked their TV duo. The analyst might be DC's biggest fan.

It’s comical how many try to go right at Donovan and get shut down

Basically equivalent in blocks/minute as Walker Kessler (who leads the league at 2.4/game). As good as he was at UCONN his timing / instincts have gotten way better. Just watching 5 minutes of that video - WOW...

Someone mentioned Russell , that one sequence were he blocked it’ , rebounds and tosses the outlet that lead to the fast break points were Dejuvue to the classic Celtic break with Bill Russell to the running man Bill Havlicek for an two easy ones . A big can be a an offensive force from a defensive position. When I coached soccer I copied the Celtic break for my quick counterattack. I drilled into the keeper’s head his importance to our. Offense a lesson I learned. From Red Auerbach and turned into an artistic masterpiece by Mistrr Russell.

Had to watch again. Dude is amazing! I’m not a fan of the NBA, but it seems to me DC benefiting from more physically and higher threshold for whistles. Not taking anything away from our guy at all

Bill Havlicek?

Averaged 9 pts 10rbs and 2blks over his last 10 games of the season. Bright future for the best defensive 5 to come out of college since Anthony Davis.

He started nearly half the year (37 games) and averaged 24.5 minutes, 7.9 PPG, 10 RPG, 2.1 BPG, 0.6 SPG and 1.6 APG. With 1.1 TO/G.

His STOCKS and Rebounding are elite. I would also say he's one of the better screeners in the league.

One huge problem the Blazers have is they don't really know how to throw a decent lob on the pick and roll to him. He got almost all his points on putbacks/offensive rebounds or dumpoffs on drives.

His FT shooting wasn't great but at only about 2 attempts a game (in starts) it's not a huge number to take much from.
