The conference needs Marquette to be Top 25 all season along with us, Creighton, St. Johns and hopefully X.

Sucks may be an exaggeration, but just read the Big East OOC thread. There's been multiple posters talking about how they'll struggle this year and aren't a lock for the NCAA Tournament

Important game that could resonate down the road when tournament and conference conversations take place. A long way to go but a decisive win.
Probably partially me. Never said they would definitely struggle, I just didn't think they would be a lock at the time the discussion was had. I had them more in the likely category I believe.
I also said, I would be more than happy to be wrong. It appears I was, though I still don't like Gold or Joplin overall. Cam Jones is as expected but Mitchell is actually scoring the last three games. That is huge for them if he can keep this up. Defensively 1-3 they are really good.
