I don't think the announcer knows that college hockey routinely plays back to back games on Fridays and Saturdays thoughout the season lol

Tough one for the team tonight. But it was still a good college Hockey game. Two evenly matched teams. Providence squeaked one out tonight. It’s on to the Hockey East playoffs. Maybe we’ll get a rematch.

Well played good enough to win but they didn't capitalize on their chances enough. Well let's hope that the teams in front of us loose to keep us in the ncaa tournament picture. And let's hope they turn it up notch in the hockey east playoffs!

UConn is in desperate need of size in the forward group and 1 or 2 legit NHL level prospect players up front. Right now their lack of size in the forward group and having no NHL forward prospects is so noticeable against top level teams. Need to be able to consistently recruit at least 1 or 2 legit prospects to take the next step.

A home game against BU or Maine is going to be difficult for this team.

We do have nhl talent but not enough yes we have Muldoney, Richard, and Blaise for forwards. And we have two defensemen that are drafted but they are freshman and usually they don't score all lot anyway. Blaise is good too but he's only a freshman. And shahan is good to but he's not on a good line. But this is on coaching 100% even the announcers were saying there were a few times where uconn had two guys wide open and their teammates didn't find them. That to me should be something where cav needs to point that out. Well next year they do have a good incoming class they have three players that are already drafted one gollie, one defenseman, and one forward. And they also have 7 kids in the draft this summer one could be a first rounder. And we have three returning next year. If we have 4 out of the 7 get drafted we could easily have 11 draft picks. But not thinking about next year yet. Maybe they will turn up their game another notch in the playoffs. They played well in CT ice so maybe they play better in those situations!

And we don't even know if Muldoney and Richard are going to go pro after this year. They might decide to stay one more year if they have a lot of talent!

Yup - we need to build the right team! Now it's clear - got to win HE to get a nod. 2 out of 12 points for the last two weekends of February may be our undoing. .

Combined record of 1-6-2 vs UMass, BC, BU, and Providence cost them an at large
That's for sure. Well we will see if they can win the hockey east. But we are not going to be the only team playing desperate hockey since every hockey east team is out of the bubble. Providence might be the only team in the NCAA tournament this year especially if they win the championship. Well let's hope it's us if our offense can get hot!

And also the npi can change on a dime even though we lost tonight if any teams loose in front of us we could move up again!

Unforgivable collapse considering where they sat 3 weeks ago. They had to go winless to drop out and they did. But Cav will be pleased because a bunch of UMass/BC Fans gushed over how "classy" he is for his reaction the light show miscue. That's what he truly cares about. His squeaky clean rep.

I have to correct myself yes we have 7 incoming freshmen in the draft this summer but only two are coming this fall and there both defesman. And only one forward coming in this fall that's drafted already but that's it. So after this season if Muldoney and Richard leave they need to hit the portal because they will only have two drafted forwards the new freshman and Blaise. But they will have a lot of big defesman with alane Salamake, dunphy, the new freshman defesman that could go in the first round, and the laviain freshman that's already drafted he's 6' 6".
