The need to put the puck in the net! They played well but just can’t score goals. The UMass goalie is playing out of his head right now but still. And the UNH kid made a few plays last night. But they seem to take a lot of “soft” shots. When did we last score on a blast from the point?

A major chance to rise in the NPI away from its current last team in position if they can pull off the win. IF.

LET'S GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're technically now the second-last team in, BC slipped behind us last night, but your point still remains valid.

I went to Toscano last night, underwhelmed by the crowd there, but the guys got the job done. Very frustrating to have only 5 goals on like 85 shots in the last two games. Winning at PC will be a very tough task, even with them possibly coasting with the HE #1 seed locked up. Just for momentum's sake, I wouldn't be upset with like a 5-4 loss just to get the offense to feel the back of the net again. Of course, I'll take a 1-0 win there if that's what we need.

I think we're a tournament lock if we beat either PC or win the HE quarterfinal game (barring like 4 bid-stealers winning tourneys). In the meantime, Penn State owes us a win over Wisconsin tonight after last year's Allentown fiasco.

Hear hear!!! (I was at Allentown.)

Good gosh, the last RS games (if you play the best in your league) and conference tournament games are just so important to the NPI (and before to that the Pairwise.) Everyone playing good competition produces lots of movement in the rankings and has huge effects on which regionals teams play in.

Here's our rooting guide for the rest of the weekend, other than the obvious one...

Huge Bubble Help

Bemidji State over Augustana
Lake Superior over St. Thomas

Really have to get the puck in the slot area and shoot and stop passing to hard side angles for top 10 sportscenter type of goals. Not everyone is tage thompson.
Wouldnt hurt if providences back up goalie is a senior and they play him to fulfill a make a wish request. Whatever it takes.
A win probably locks us in. They have to go down there ans play like it
