The next couple of collegiate team sports streaks on the horizon relevant to the Huskies current one:
92 game win streak for the Mia Hamm - led North Carolina women's soccer team - from 1990 - 1994;
109 match win streak for Penn State women's indoor volleyball - from 2007 - 2010.

The Tar Heals streak is also noteworthy as it is in a sport that allows for tie results; after their win streak was snapped in a 0-0 tie with Notre Dame, the Tar Heals extended their unbeaten streak to 101 games before it was finally snapped in a loss to Duke in the same '94 season.

My favorite streak is still Edmund Moses in the 400 hurdles. Being undefeated in a track event for 10 years is almost unbelievable.
