Camryn Brown down after a collision w/ the human bulldozer known as Sabally.

Are they STILL hanging around 5 or so in the NET?

edit--I also don't understand how they are ranked #13.

I think it's the same thing as Mississippi State. We've lost to pretty much everyone that's really good - but the fact that we're losing to teams seeded #5 or above keeps us in the Top 40 and a #7 seed.

Oregon is an entirely different team when they're playing the elites, and losing to those guys is what's allowing them to not drop much when they lose.

Raise your hand if you thought Miller would outscore Sabally. 16-12 and about the same number of minutes.

Onyenwere w/ 17, Miller w/ 16, 14 for Chou, 13 for Osborne, 10 for Horvat.

12 for Sabally, 11 for Paopao.

Just showed Oregon at #7 in the NET, ahead of Arizona and UCLA. HOW? They've played nobody OOC and are playing in the same conference as those other 2, and have lost to both twice. The NET formula is clearly faulty.
PAC 12 is overrated, they have played very few teams OOC, Stanford played 3 OOC games, Cal Poly, UNLV, and Pacific. Massey has them rated as Cal Poly #208, UNLV #138, and Pacific #116. I guess you could say that they did play a couple of teams that were higher rated than CAL, they are #202.

I would say womens basketball sucks across the board this year. I don't find anyone that impressive compared to previous years.

The conference just isn't good this year outside of the top 4 teams. No one else is projected to make the tournament. SEC and B1G appear to be the deepest conferences this year.

SEC is having a good year with six teams threatening to take top 4 seeds and two in contention for a 1 seed. Big Ten also has a lot of depth and they historically aren't very good.

I'm somewhat unconvinced about the SEC. They always have a bunch of ranked teams. Not sure how good some of them actually are.

What conference do you think is better?

SC/A&M/Tennessee/Arkansas are battle tested and have proven they can hang with and beat top tier teams, with SC/A&M as potential #1 seeds. Kentucky appears to be inconsistent but they're dangerous. They have wins over Tennessee/Indiana, and went toe to toe vs. South Carolina. Georgia I'm not as sold on but they've put together a nice season. Beyond that, none of the next tier (Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss) are easy wins either even if they aren't ranked.

Those teams did absolutely nothing in OOC, so they did not establish any bona fides against non SEC teams. LSU especially was awful in OOC. Not sure if the middle is really all that tough, to me it just calls into question how good the top really is.

Big 10 OOC slate is about as bad as the Pac 12, not sure why you aren't questioning them as well. Maryland beat Arkansas. That's about it. Iowa w/ half decent win over Iowa St.. Rest of the conference has nothing.

Again, let me ask, what conference do you think is better than the SEC? Or what conference are you more sold on and why?

How is it possible 6-7 Prince has zero rebounds in 17 minutes?
Didn't get to watch the game; and, not sure how many rebounds she is averaging this season.

In high school, rebound was not one of her strengths despite her height. I vaguely recall her averaging around 8 rebounds a game despite being 6 inches taller than just about every player she faced.

The SEC might be the best league this year, but from the smattering of games I've seen I'm not particularly impressed with any of them. I'm a tough critic. Nobody has really impressed me this year, from any conference.

It's even tougher to compare conferences this year than most because the pandemic led to a lot fewer interconference games being scheduled than normal. Pac-12 especially limited their travel distances and thus didn't play much if at all outside the western states.

What you said: Nobody has really impressed me this year, from any conference.

Agree and that is not a knock on anyone or any conference. All sports have down cycles in general. This year it is WBB.
