This seems to me to be a pretty important game. We haven’t played since winning CT Ice where we played pretty well. We really need to come out and play like we did in the tournament. The 2-week layoff could either help or hurt but this is a kind of strange bit of scheduling.

As of now, every game is critical. We are right on the bubble, where one team ranked below us winning a conference tournament other than the Atlantic knocks us out. And with only one game this weekend, there is no chance to make up for a Friday poor result on Saturday,

Almost seems more like a neutral site game than an NEU home game. The rink looks nice.
 
Someone prod the announcer…see if he’s fully awake. He sounds fairly disinterested. Guess I’m getting used to Fanta screaming the whole game.

Stats after one. Despite only 5 shots on goal, it felt like UConn controlled the period.

Huh?? We were up 1-0 after period 1 and kept going.
 
Up to 13th in the NPI at the moment, which will likely (but not definitely) get a team in. Let’s hope they can hold that slot until they face off again next weekend.
 
Solid win last night. It was one of those I really was concerned about and where we have struggled. Mid-level team plus the long layoff.

Not exactly an overflow crowd though I get Bentley is a bit of a hike from Huntington Ave.
