A team like Iowa can't be overlooked. When their offense is on its 'A' game they have a real chance to beat any team in div I, IMO. Scoring at ridiculous pace is a disrupting factor all to its own.

But the lack of defense makes their odds of winning a NC very slim. It's difficult to keep up the needed levels of offense in game after game against elite teams that can basically score at will against your defense.

Refs are done with this game. Gonna take a lot to get them to blow their whistles. A fairly obvious and-1 on both ends gets ignored.

Czinano up to 23 on 10-18 on what's been a bit of an off game for her.

Clark also w/ a "quiet" 23/8/7.

Could be wrong, but I don’t see Kentucky having a hard time with Iowa assuming the Wildcats take care of their first round matchup.
Kentucky has massively underachieved all year considering their talent. Could they be dangerous? Sure but I have seen nothing lately that would make me worry as an opposing team.

Both teams chucking 3s right down to the wire. 87-72 final.

Iowa took care of business with 4 in double figures. They are playing their best right now. Really looking forward to an Iowa-Kentucky game with a ton of talent.

My first time watching this Iowa team, and maybe this game may is not representative. But it seems like Czinano converts well when she gets a high pass. Not so much after receiving a bounce pass.

I think that's a good analysis!

Howard is definitely good enough to get them to the Sweet 16. Kentucky is athletic, physical, and big. That in itself is enough to give Iowa issues if they match up. It’s all about good and bad matchups.

Which again brings up the question everyone skipped over: Who on Iowa is capable of guarding Howard? Especially given Iowa does not prioritize that end of the ball?

Hmm....Kentucky has to get by Idaho St. first before they can face Iowa. Not off to a good start.

Right lol. But look at the defense. Is Iowa capable of playing with the quickness and activity of this team? Absolutely not. Completely different offense and motion too.

Matchups.

Iowa will probably stick with their zone defense and some triangle and 2. When/if they do go all player defense, it will be Kate Martin on Howard.

Right so can Kentucky score 80+ points to keep up? I think they are definitely capable of doing that, to be clear. But who guards Clark and who guards Czinano? If they don't have an answer on that end then they need to score.
