In the 2013 national semifinals, Breanna Stewart emerged as the player she'd been billed to be.
Throughout the 2013-14 season, Stewie was the best player of WCBB and Moriah Jefferson established herself as elite at her position on a national level. Sadly, Morgan Tuck wasn't able to play for much of the season at all.
Well, on December 6, 2014, Morgan Tuck established herself as the MVP of a game against a national top 5 opponent on the road. She played with the ferocity of a woman warrior Maxine Hong Kingston would be proud of...and with the poise of a veteran who knew UConn could withstand ND's early surge and emerge victorious.
Yeah, Stewie played some smart but not wholly effective ball, and Mo will her do her best to forget her performance today. But we all know full well what those two are capable of...and now we know that Morgan can reach heights like this too.
We've got the 2012 class for more than a year and a half, folks. And don't forget, Morgan's got that extra year of eligibility.
In other words, the 2012 recruiting class is in full bloom...and will be bearing fruit until April 2017.
