Worse year for game conflicts. First, endless changing Federal Jury duty finally cancelled Friday before F4 weekend and now an out of state funeral on 12/14. It is not that I have become a Casual Fan but rather I don’t want to end up in jail or disrespecting family.

My wife got thrown out of there once. For standing on the bar and leading the patrons in singing the national anthem.

I don't remember if it helped the mojo or not.

The last time I was there was for the BET. Guy walks in and asks for a Guinness. The response from the bartender was worth the price of the game ticket.

If you're taking a train in, Metro North bans alcohol on the trains for this and if I recall correctly, they are pretty strict about it.

Agreed! Only good thing is that is starts at 10am and ends 8pm. Hopefully they will all be passed out or home already by the time we get on the train home...11ish?

The worst NYC tradition by far. Drunk Santa’s melting down on 3rd avenue at 11:45am. Always fun getting questions from my kid about why Santa is on the sidewalk smoking a cigarette looking for their phone.

I looked at the map and it’s not pretty - lots of midtown bars along the route.

Opposing teams with good fanbases tend to turnout pretty well for the NYC games. Alumni in the area and just worth the trip for others (and easy to travel to, though no direct flights from Spokane to NYC at least). Indiana had a huge contingent last year. I'd expect Gonzaga to do pretty well (but not as well as a blue blood major state university).
