[Phil Nolan] Reminds me of Antric a bit.
Reminds me of Wolf, except Wolf doesn't usually need 9 whole minutes on the court to be totally ineffective whilst picking up 5 fouls.

UConn has to press go up tempo and we didn't see it tonight. It actually seemed that Napier slowed the team down tonight as he did not lead the fast break much. Hopefully, his speed will improve. We now know that the O needs to go through Calhoun as he is our best scorer. Interior play is going to be challenging this year, really challenging.

Its only the first game, but this team does not look like it will win many BE games. Let's see how Ollie pulls it together.

horrendous defense...def need another body down low...we will greatly need wolf this year...TO can't hold the paint by himself...omar calhoun...kid is going to be great...nolan needs to put some muscle on and deandre needs to find his groove and get comfortable...he can atleast rebound very well so thats good

I was thinking of the missed bunnies.

Boat
Bazz
Omar
DD
Olander

is what i see the starting lineup to be so far...

Olander looks beefed up to the point where he might be able to be a solid power forward in the Big East. Too bad he's our center.

Where can you listen to game on computer??..tried WTIC.COM with no success. I got Clark talk show instead.

Holy cow - Omar 8-14, 3-6 from three, 6 boards, 24 points. Nice debut.

I thought Evans, and to a lesser extent, Daniels and Tyler were the bright spots in the 1st half. Obviously, Boat and Omar were the story in the 2nd half. But Daniels played fairly well in 2nd half too - especially on the boards. I was surprised Evans didn't get more minutes in the 2nd half, since he was our strongest 1st half performer. Boat kind of took over when bazz got hurt, and that's what really changed the game as far as I was concerned.

I thought bazz and Niels played well, too.
There's a lot to work on, but I see no reason to be concerned after one exhibition game.
