If we are going to make a comeback we got to stop leaving bu wide open. And they need to get back to their forechecking to cause turnovers. I hope cavs staff is drawing something up for the third!

It is really tough listen to Joe D try to do color for hockey. His lack of hockey knowledge is very evident.

I good split against BU. The talent on that BU team is ridiculous. They are going to be nasty later in the season. Thank god we got them early in the season. Overall, just a good fun weekend of college hockey.

.-.
Well a split we will take. Now let's take care of Harvard and Merrimack next weekend. If we beat teams that are not ranked UConn should make it in the NCAA tournament. If we face bu in the playoffs then they really need to watch film to figure out how to get past bu defense like we did last night. The only good thing is we have more upperclassman than bu that have experience on the big stage. Also we got to bury our chances and the pk needs to be better than they were today!

Story of this game was the power plays. BUs was good and ours was offensively bad.
And the fact we were called on two penalties while we were in the BU zone- Brutal.

Was gonna be a toigh task to hand BU its 4th straight loss- this was a must win for BU

BU posting a video on their instagram of celebrating coming off the ice like they won the Frozen Four.

Between their Statler & Waldorf broadcast team and their classless coach (who never gives us an ounce of credit in his postgames when we win), they are my least favorite team in the league.

They also brought a small collection of students from jersey shore near their bench who were shirtless toward the end of the game.

😂 Last night was a freebie - BU had their backs against the wall. We’ll talk if Harvard goes sideways.
I think at the end of the second and the third UConn had chances to score but couldn't bu goaltender saved the day for them. And if our pk did better we couldv'e win!

.-.
And to add to my comment I think what went wrong with the pk is UConn wasn't in synce enough they had guys being to aggressive and some guy staying back that's what causes problems. Cav said that in his radio show so if that's what happened well they need to fix it!

Earlier in the week I said, a split would be “acceptable.” Hard as it is to stomach a home loss after a three-point win on the road, a split against a team that is loaded with 17 NHL draft choices is a positive weekend Hockey East result.

BU IS a national caliber program. We are a “rising” national program. Cal has done a great job to bring us into the conversation.

We are not yet at the level of BC, BU, North Dakota, Denver and the Michigan teams. But we are close.

From what I understand? If we were to split, it's beneficial in computer rankings to have the road win (although as a lifelong math guy I don't fully buy it).

We need to continue with the season and see how things turn out.
