The Iowa coach sits Clark (see, I can learn) a lot. During the season and in the CC's. I'd like to know her thinking on that.

Iowa's 3 point shooting, woof

Clark has been pretty atrocious shooting but she's helping them in other ways.
I'd like to see an SEC team play Iowa early in the tourney. I really want to see how she reacts to getting pounded all game.

45-44 Iowa at the third media break

Clark up to 7 assists. Pretty sure all the assists have been to Czinano.

I think Warnock is their 3rd leading scorer and she's scoreless today. Maybe just a strange game for Iowa. Good thing for them that Czinano is ballin'.

.-.
Beautiful assist by Clark there.

Clark is, as I suggested early on in the season, being picked up early by her defender, being pressed on the perimeter forcing her to give up the ball. Czianano is using her wide body to pin her defender under the hoop. This of course won't work against teams with bigger and better players inside. Such as those in the Pac 12 and the SEC.

I'd like to see her drop 25 in the 1st half on some offensively challenged SEC team. :)

Somehow I expect Iowa to be placed in UConn's "region". The NCAA isn't blind to attractive matchups.

Purdue hanging in there...56-52, Iowa...going to the 4th.

Unfortunately to me all of the SEC teams are offensively challenged. They are also all very physical. It would be a tall task for her to drop 25 in the first half on any of them. Personally I think her temper would erupt long before the 25 point mark.

Longlong before.

Clark is a wonderful player. Talented in all offensive phases. Great scorer. You can't question any of that. Her numbers are phenomenal for a frosh. However if you look at the box scores of their games in the B10 there doesn't seem to be much defense being played. It's pretty tough to compare players when one conference has rugged defensive teams and another does not. I mean it's fun to see aa player score 30 every night but if her team is losing 92-85 to the better teams those 30 points lose a lot of their impact.

So what are you trying to say?

I get the SEC shade although I don't think everyone is offensively challenged. Well maybe their half court offenses are (cough SC). SEC teams usually live in the 60s and 70's scoring wise unless you are Arkansas (who really doesn't play D at all)

SEC is pretty physical overall and strong defensively but PAC 12 and Big 10 have much better offensive teams. ACC isn't much better either at least this season scoring. The ACC title game was tough to watch

Purdue takes the lead...before Czinano hits a shot for Iowa.

Good game!

Pretty hard to believe, as much scoring as Czinano has been doing, (I'm assuming mostly in the key) she just shot her first FT.

Bottom line, this Purdue team has been very physical against Clark and it's shown in her poor shooting.

.-.
The Purdue posts are so tired now they've finally resorted to holding Czinano

The Purdue posts are so tired they let Czinano beat them down the floor for and easy two. They've been bumped and bruised from that wide body to the point of weariness

If Iowa wins they will play Rutgers tomorrow. That will be a good test for Clark.

7 win Boilermakers have picked their poison and in spite of Czinano has been a solid strategy for 3 quarters.

Will Clark break out down the stretch?

What team presents the biggest threat to UConn?

To me........................Texas A&M.

I love Blair and A&M's team but they aren't a sexy pick to me for multiple reasons. The Georgia game illustrated some of my concerns as well.

Maybe they end up proving me wrong. Some of this comes down to matchups per say.
