Current student and I recently thought of an idea that maybe some of you already employ but if not...just hear me out, even if you're against gambling.

Bet $100 on UConn the day after the National Championship every single year. After beating Kentucky, our odds to repeat and win it all in 2014-2015 was 80/1. You do the math...bet 100, UConn wins it all, win 8,000.

Do this every single year and considering all we do is win championships and NEVER get any respect, the odds will always be low. The day after Louisville won it all, UConn was at 33/1 odds to win the 2013-2014 NC. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that NC banner is up in Gampel as I write this.

Anyways, bet the $100, with always low odds, seemingly around 30/1, all it takes is 1 NC and you will be profiting for the next 25-30 years even if we never won again...but lets be real here...that wont happen

"Built for March."

Hell if I had $100 I could even spare I'd put that money down in a heart beat.

Got last year at a mix of 60/1 and 70/1. In for this year at around the same #s that I bet back in the summer. It's not a bad strategy as long as we keep winning ships.

Where'd you place your bet

Had them at $50/1 last year, hedged it in the finals and ended up netting like 3g's. Re-upped this year.

I look at it as an investment in my final four tickets and accommodations if they make it. Even if you hedge out in the semi's you can probably pay for airfare in hotel.

Now, that was the plan last year, but Florida was such a heavy favorite that the money line bet on them destroyed the whole model last year. So I had to let it ride.

Hedging is for sissies. Hedging a UCONN game is sacrilege. ;)
I respect that opinion, especially since we've never lost a championship game.

Sissies? ha ha ...Years ago My dad had a preseason bet on the Steelers winning the super bowl at 200 -1. When they got to the the AFC championship game he approached me to borrow some money to bet $10,000 on the other team if they got to the super bowl. Good hedge I would say. 20K or nothing or 10K guaranteed? Steelers lost the AFC game so $10K bet never made but he should of bet on the opponent in the AFC Championship also.

Two years ago I bet a $50 six team parlay in Vegas where the final game was the Sunday night game. The 5 afternoon game all won. My choice was ride it out and collect $1, 500 or bet some on the other team to hedge? I bet $200 on the other team. That bet lost but I was happy winning the $1300.

Had $100 at 65/1 and $100 at 80/1 last year, put 3g on UK ML to hedge to net $11,500 (not to mention some tiny baseball wagers to kill time). Here is the beautiful photo of it:

Is there a combo bet? Men and Women? I was looking for that last year.

I do not know anywhere that takes bets on woman s ball until the tournament, and no where title odds.

A parlay (combo) bet would just give you worse odds since the women are probably not + odds to win it.

Unless you get a huge futures number you are almost always better off just making 6 money line bets rolling over the dollars.

Maybe you didn't see the winking emoji? I live in a casino town, the majority of my business is conducted with casinos and I spend significant time losing money in them. I am aware that hedging is a wise strategy.
