I'd like to see them learn their lesson and take the play right to them at the beginning of the period - don't wait around jump them quick
 
Having a tough time possessing and controlling the puck. Everything is a battle. They close on us quick

Going on a PP - colorado really pressures the points on our PP. we have to be quick to find the man down low when they start charging

Even outworked on 6 vs 5. CC open near the slot as we have two defenders just behind
 
Good first game. Did some goods things, have some areas to improve on, but overall promising. I will say CC is going to be a NCAA tournament team. Glad hockey is back. Should be a very entertaining year.

That was disappointing I think they thought it was going to be a easy night. They better learn from this quick and win tomorrow. They need to win tomorrow if they want to stay ranked!
 
CC defensemen were really good. That’s one area where UConn needs to improve. They need a mobile puck moving defensemen. They don’t really have that. Maybe we have one in the pipeline.

The Huskies scored less than a minute in but it was all downhill from there.

They received the most votes for teams that didn't get ranked. They have six draft picks on the team. But yhea they played horrible they take Colorado serious enough but they will now!

Didn’t take them serious enough? That’s not a championship level program mindset. We should be preparing the same way for Colorado College as we do for Hockey East opponents. We are not to the point where we should be taking anyone lightly.

I really question the wisdom of opening the season on the road in altitude. That always seemed like an unwise thing to do.
