1) False. He's offensively capable and will have nights where he goes off, but I predict more balanced scoring.
2) False. That's a lot of blocks. It's definitely something to watch for but he'll need to see him stay on the floor 30+ minutes to get these #'s against bigger teams.
3) True. This team will have growing pains. This board will have tough weeks but we'll be ok and we'll be cohesive by March.
4) False. He'll settle down.
5) True. Based on this preposterously small sample size and assumed exponential growth.
6) True. I'm probably most confident in this t/f answer.
7)not sure how to judge but I think "true" we'll see lots of zone
8)False, I really hope not, we need him
9) True. If the season is to be considered a success by a strict Uconn critic, a lot of that will hinge on Amida imposing himself on the game. I think the season will be a success and unfortunately that means Amida will get a lot of attention from the NBA.
10) False, he filled the stats up tonight, but a triple double is incredibly rare. We have more rebounders this year and (probably) more good passers this year. I hope we won't need him to flirt with triple doubles a lot in order to win.

4) The “Ferrari” Purvis will not be one of our top three scorers False (Hard to see how he's not unless Hamilton and Brimah both blow us away or Omar rediscovers himself)

5) Hamilton is a one and done False (it's possible, but more likely two and done IMO)

6) Facey will lead the team in rebounding False (I don't think he'll get the playing time)

7) Scouting report against UConn will say, “play zone against them” False (Tonight was an aberration as they clearly had not worked much on zone offense. Hamilton will begin eviscerating teams from the interior of the defense before long. Contrary to what a lot of people think, zone isn't always the best way to defend a poor shooting team.)

8) Omar will average less than 5 minutes playing time per game False (No way, assuming he's healthy. We desperately need his perimeter shooting)

9) Amida will be a lottery draft pick in 2015 False (He's not there yet)

10) Boat will have a triple-double this year False (Has he ever even had a double-double?)

You're asking us to make predictions, not to determine objective truth and factual accuracy, so true/false is not the proper dichotomy. I'll go with yes/no. Most of these are good questions though

1) Boat will average over 19 points a game this season: NO but he will be close

2) Amida will break Emeka’s UConn average block record (4.7 per in 02-03): NO because I see some foul trouble keeping him limited at times

3) We will lose at least as many games as we did last year: NO

4) The “Ferrari” Purvis will not be one of our top three scorers: NO, I think he will get there. I think we could see Boat/Purvis/Jr top 3

5) Hamilton is a one and done: NO because I think he wants to get all he can out of KO, which would mean another year. At least that's what I would do if I were him

6) Facey will lead the team in rebounding: YES

7) Scouting report against UConn will say, “play zone against them”: YES; it always has. We're always had trouble against the zone

8) Omar will average less than 5 minutes playing time per game: NO

9) Amida will be a lottery draft pick in 2015: NO

10) Boat will have a triple-double this year: YES


#3 is the toughest call for me to make because on one hand we are looking more flawed out the gate than last year despite having arguably more talent but we had several WTF losses last year. We also won't be playing Louisville 3 times this year.
