After just six games this season, including several Gulf Coast Showcase blow-outs, UConn has some interesting statistics at the individual player and team level. Consider the following:

1. UConn is averaging 91.5 points per game. In the last two seasons, their average was 82.1 and 82.5 per game. While still very early, scoring was potentially an issue this season and the AAC didn't get any stronger.

2. Kia Nurse leads MoJeff in points scored (82-67), field goal accuracy (60% vs 54%), rebounds (29-12), 3 pt baskets (8-7) and fewer turnovers (6-13).MoJeff has more assists (31-18) and more blocked shots (2-0).

3. Gabby Williams leads the team in field goal accuracy at 66.7% (16-24) and has outscored Kiah Stokes (38-37).

4. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis is shooting 61.5% from 3 pt range (24-39) and only 46% from inside the arc (6-13). (This is interesting, not bad.) KML is also tied for the team lead in steals w/ 13. ;)

5. UConn is shooting 43.2% from 3 pt range (63-146). Take out KML's totals and they shoot only 37.5%.

6. Saniya Chong is tied w/ Stewie for 2nd w/ 10 three pt baskets made. Stewie has fewer attempts (22 vs 29).

7. TLAW has outscored Sadie Edwards 7 points to 5 and is one of two Huskies with 100% accuracy in free throws (2-2). KML is the other.

8. In just 121 minutes of play, Kiah Stokes has 45 rebounds, 21 blocked shots, 37 points, 8 assists and 2 steals. She is also shooting 52% from the field and 90% from the free throw line. She has only 6 personal fouls. :D

9. Stewie has 100 points, 41 rebounds, 18 assists, 10 steals and 7 blocks for 176 total positive stats in just 178 minutes of play. Only she and Jefferson have started all 6 games. Stewie being Stewie. :p

10. UConn has 81 personal fouls and 81 turnovers so far this year. Last year they had 471 fouls and 471 turnovers. Weird...

3. Gabby Williams leads the team in field goal accuracy at 66.7% (16-24) and has outscored Kiah Stokes (38-37).

Some Geno quotes on Gabby:

carl adamec @CarlAdamec · 1h 1 hour ago
Geno: "(Gabby Williams) has no idea what she's doing out there. I don't know what she's going to be like when she actually figures it out."

carl adamec @CarlAdamec · 1h 1 hour ago
Geno: "I don't remember anyone like (Gabby) since Swin Cash and Tamika Williams. Those 2 were pretty explosive and she reminds me of them."

She's the type of impact player you want coming off the bench.

VERY NICE OF YOU TO PUT THIS TOGETHER, DAVID. FOUND IT VERY INTERESTING, AS ALWAYS WITH YOUR POSTS, AND WILL SALT IN SOME COMMENTS IN CAPS BELOW:

After just six games this season, including several Gulf Coast Showcase blow-outs, UConn has some interesting statistics at the individual player and team level. Consider the following:

1. UConn is averaging 91.5 points per game. In the last two seasons, their average was 82.1 and 82.5 per game. While still very early, scoring was potentially an issue this season and the AAC didn't get any stronger. PREDICTED IN PRE-SEASON ON HERE THAT THIS YEAR'S TEAM WOULD BE BETTER THAN LAST YEAR (ALSO SAID WOULD NOT NECESSARILY HAVE A BETTER RECORD). THUS FAR, AM NOT SO SURE ABOUT MY CALL, BUT THESE STATS ARE ENCOURAGING IN THAT REGARD. WAS ALSO ENCOURAGED BY THE WAY THEY WHIPPED THE BALL AROUND LAST NIGHT, AS THEY DID IN THE FIRST EX GAME.
VERY, VERY FEW TIMES WHEN SOMEONE HELD ON TO IT LAST NIGHT.

KIA WILL ADD TO HER BLOCKED SHOTS ( NOW THERE'S A LAY-UP) AND JEFF WILL PROB CONTINUE TO BUILD ON HER ASSISTS LEAD.

3. Gabby Williams leads the team in field goal accuracy at 66.7% (16-24) and has outscored Kiah Stokes (38-37). WONDERFUL STAT ON THE ACCURACY....SHE MIGHT START TO REALLY LIKE THIS INSIDE STUFF.

4. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis is shooting 61.5% from 3 pt range (24-39) and only 46% from inside the arc (6-13). (This is interesting, not bad.) KML is also tied for the team lead in steals w/ 13. ;) RX: SHOOT ONLY THREES.

5. UConn is shooting 43.2% from 3 pt range (63-146). Take out KML's totals and they shoot only 37.5%.
TAKE THE MUSTARD OFF THE HOT DOG AND YOU MIGHT NOT WANT THE HOT DOG.

6. Saniya Chong is tied w/ Stewie for 2nd w/ 10 three pt baskets made. Stewie has fewer attempts (22 vs 29).
WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER RELAX AND SHOOT IT. COUPLE NICE DRIVES LAST NIGHT. AND MORE AGGRESSIVE.

7. TLAW has outscored Sadie Edwards 7 points to 5 and is one of two Huskies with 100% accuracy in free throws (2-2). KML is the other. LAWLOR SEEMS LIKE A SERIOUS PLAYER TO ME.....WOULD LIKE TO SEE HER GET A BIT MORE TIME.

8. In just 121 minutes of play, Kiah Stokes has 45 rebounds, 21 blocked shots, 37 points, 8 assists and 2 steals. She is also shooting 52% from the field and 90% from the free throw line. She has only 6 personal fouls. :D
THOUGHT SHE HUSTLED MORE UP AND DOWN THE FLOOR LAST NIGHT....ENCOURAGING.

9. Stewie has 100 points, 41 rebounds, 18 assists, 10 steals and 7 blocks for 176 total positive stats in just 178 minutes of play. Only she and Jefferson have started all 6 games. Stewie being Stewie. :p AND MORE TO COME.

10. UConn has 81 personal fouls and 81 turnovers so far this year. Last year they had 471 fouls and 471 turnovers. Weird... WELL, I PREFER TO THINK OF YOU AS "DAVID" ;)

If Kiah can avoid fouls, I like her patrolling the paint against ND.

I want K to shoot 60% from the arc and make 5 per game.
