Hopefully this game is decent, between the Auburn/LSU game and UGA/Miss St game, I am gonna be on my 2nd bottle of wine shortly.

18-11 ARK end of first

Daniels and Dungee with 6 pts ea.

Looks like Howard was Kentucky's entire offense in the first period.

Howard had a rare 4 pt play.
35-34 KEN at the half
Howard 17 pts, 5 reb, 3 TO

Multiple playmakers of Kentucky are starting to show themselves as the difference.

Key moment: KY up 66-62 with 2 to go, take s a bomb which misses but Dungee with an unnecessary rebounding foul.
ky maintains possession and hits a 3. Game over

Kentucky impressed me tonight. I think it will be difficult for us to beat them on Sunday.

When two extremely overrated teams play, the winner is still overrated.

Let's not forget that Maryland spent a full 40 minutes running circles around a hapless Arkansas team that plays zero defense and has no plan B.

Is it me or does KY have the best limited capacity crowd now? I think Memorial Coliseum seats about 8,000 but the 1,200 they allow in now really makes a lot of noise (at least it sounds that way on TV). The only other WCBB game I can recall where I heard the crowd was Iowa St.’s game against SC, oh and Arkansas’s game against Baylor.

Are you sure it’s not piped-in crowd noise?

The transfers definitely made a big difference for Kentucky. Howard was still the best player but will she consistently show up. She went missing too much last year.

D. Edwards had a rough one but she's gonna be really good. Kentucky may or may not be over rated, but they definitely don't have a talent problem, a lot of very talented kids on that team. A lot more to work with this year than just giving the ball to Howard.

I’m pretty sure KY’s crowd isn’t, just sounds like actual people cheering. I’ve seen plenty of games (men & women) with the awful piped-in crowd noise, it’s kind of annoying.

I think Memorial Coliseum is just one of those arenas that is noisy b/c it’s smaller than the bigger arenas; just like Mohegan Sun Arena is for the CT Sun.
