Colorado fights back to within 17-14 thru Q1. Stanford halfcourt offense has been awful, almost all of their points have been in transition.

Night and day difference between the last game for Brink. She did pick up 1 dumb foul reaching in on a guard at midcourt, but otherwise no whistles. She has 7 (pending an and-1) points, 2 rebounds, 1 block and a couple more changed shots.

Peanut Tuitele is a big girl, she just came out much the worse in a collision w/ Brink. For the Oregon fan who claimed that Brink is incredibly weak.

Colorado has tied this up. I'm really not impressed w/ the Card today.

Stanford plays terrific defense, but--offensively--I think they have a way to go. They will surely win this game, probably going away, and Tara deserves all of the accolades heading her way, but, when it comes to half court offense, Stanford has been imo far too reliant on one, sometimes two, scorers: Kiana Williams and Lexie Hull last year, Alana Smith the year before, and Brittany McPhee the year before that. And that, in turn, has led imo to far too many scoring droughts. I thought, still think, this year can be different with Jones back and the hugh amount of talent on the team (including two players--Jones and Brink--with almost unlimited ceilings), but it's been a while since Tara has had guards who are good distributors. And it shows.

Stanford is sluggish and Colorado is playing well, yet still losing at the half 32-29. I think the second half, Stanford finds it's mojo and puts the Buffs away by 15-20....

Belibi and Wilson only have 2 each and Kiana is scoreless. Gotta get more than that from your starters. Lexie leading the way w/ 8, but 6 of those were in the first couple minutes. Jones has 6. Brink and Pretchtel have 7 and 5 off the bench.

Hollingshed w/ 13 keeping Colorado in the game just about by herself. As usual I am underwhelmed by Sherrod. She's fast, but no change of pace, and just doesn't seem to have a good feel for the game.

Stanford was extremely lucky to get two wins against Colorado last year, one dumb defensive play and one miracle shot gave them victories. If Stanford seems listless, maybe it is because Colorado has their number. Stanford will probably win going away in second half—unless Forman starts hitting treys.

Tied at 50. Went absolutely forever without a break in the action. Both teams w/ a ton of subs sitting at the scorers table.
