To play devil's advocate, we don't really know that it's Serah or her team putting this information out there, do we? Could it be someone speaking out of turn at one of the schools she's visiting? Or could it be people like members of the BY who watch who she's following on social media and who's following her back? Or people who spotted her on a flight to Baton Rouge? "Multiple sources" could mean lots of things.I'
"Per multiple sources" indicates the information didn't come from her.I'
Concur with you."Per multiple sources" indicates the information didn't come from her.
Does it also bother you and cause you to lose interest when high school recruits name their finalists? Pretty sure that's standard.
Never underestimate the importance of the size of the bag.Allegedly LSU is putting together a big NIL deal for her
With Fulwiley going into the portal (per X) maybe Kim might want to save a few of those $Allegedly LSU is putting together a big NIL deal for her
Or, NIL $$Wow, that’s an interesting (and disparate) list. It’s two-on-one in several different categories.
Two South, one North
Two coaches with championships, one without
Two land-grant, two flagship (UConn’s both)
It certainly appears that the decision will come down to just what she’s looking for. Is it playing time, great coach, best academic fit, nurturing environment . . . ?
Azzi had UCLA as a finalist, Sarah Strong had SC as a finalist ... I'm certainly glad our coaches didn't lose interest in them.Concur with you.
Not sure how to answer the high school recruit question because I don't follow the recruitment threads, only the committed to UConn threads.
I doubt Geno will get into a bidding contest. So, it's about the $$, we'll probably be out early.Or, NIL $$
I doubt she was spotted on a flight to Baton Rouge. It would be more likely that Kim and her entire staff were spotted on a flight to Toronto. To play devil's advocate, we don't really know that it's Serah or her team putting this information out there, do we? UConn's deal is you get to play for the greatest coach in the history of the game and are guaranteed to go to the final four. As an aspiring professional basketball player, that would seem like a pretty good bargain.Does anyone know if UConn ever puts together “big NIL deals”?
Good point! But I'm not sure why you think anyone would have spotted Kim if she had been traveling with her staff; she's usually so understated and inconspicuous.I doubt she was spotted on a flight to Baton Rouge. While immediate money matters, I suspect that the UConn coaching staff is adept at selling all the other advantages UConn players have in terms of basketball, career, and personal development. Tough sell, but its your net worth over many years that matters most. I suspect her UConn offer would be enough for ice cream and weekend pizzas - what else does a college student need, other than championships and great coaching.Allegedly LSU is putting together a big NIL deal for her

Of course you are right. But I had this vision of her boarding the flight dressed up in the LSU mascot’s costume pretending to be a comfort animal.Good point! But I'm not sure why you think anyone would have spotted Kim if she had been traveling with her staff; she's usually so understated and inconspicuous.
I imagine they have a pretty solid NIL bag for their players. Marc Damelio (Charli Damelio’s dad, big social media/influencer family) was speaking how he has a company or something and works with the university to get the athletes NIL deals.Does anyone know if UConn ever puts together “big NIL deals”?
True, however Northam is a well known reporter who covers the ACC women's game. He also has been pretty accurate on coaching hires that have happened this season. His credibility is higher to me in comparison to a faceless poster on social media. )A year at LSU certainly means more money while a year at UConn means a lifetime of opportunities. Her choice. Look at all our former players in coaching, television, executive positions in basketball, etc.Allegedly LSU is putting together a big NIL deal for her
Aren’t all 3 the flagship universities in their states?Wow, that’s an interesting (and disparate) list. It’s two-on-one in several different categories.

Marisa wasn’t dismissed; she resigned. And her AD said he was surprised so presumably she wasn’t forced into resigning.Serah could have bolted a bad Badger team for $$ but stayed with Marisa until her dismissal.
Azzi had UCLA as a finalist, Sarah Strong had SC as a finalist ... I'm certainly glad our coaches didn't lose interest in them.
Perhaps just a friendly suggestion, don't follow any transfer portal threads either because it's virtually impossible for it to not be leaked which schools a transfer is considering if she's known to be any good.
Going to UConn doesn't guarantee anything. She would still need to earn those opportunities. Not to mention, she's studying nursing which doesn't tie into the roles you've noted above.A year at LSU certainly means more money while a year at UConn means a lifetime of opportunities. Her choice. Look at all our former players in coaching, television, executive positions in basketball, etc.
Didn't mean to cast any aspersions on Northam's credibility. I agree that he's on the reliable end of the spectrum! (I was responding to a post that I no longer see, so the context is missing.) I was just suggesting that Northam's sources weren't necessarily Serah and her family/representatives but could be others in the know.True, however Northam is a well known reporter who covers the ACC women's game.
