For us to secure 5th place, we need to win two games and we need Memphis and SMU to lose two games. That adds up to six. SMU was defeated by UCF tonight, bringing us 1/6 of the way to the unlikely yet highly desired destination. I didn't see the UCF victory coming.

Incorrect we need to win out and smu needs to lose out already lost one and need Memphis to lose one of two. If we end up in a tie with Memphis at 10-8 we are the 5 seed based on tiebreaker with with Tulsa. They only played Tulsa once and got house we are 1-1 against Tulsa.
